A FEW THINGS ABOUT THE ARTIST

1. What do you do when you’re not making art? (Day job etc...).

When I’m not making art, I’m thinking of creating it. I’m influenced by light, color, shapes and textures. I’m hoping to just create and sell my contemporary mixed media art soon.

2. Why do you make art?

Art is important to me because it’s a form of expression (internal and external) and healing. It’s a way of capturing thoughts, visuals and feelings and creating something that reflects that.

3. What inspires you?

Everything around me inspires my creativity... especially light, color and shapes.

4. What/who are your influences?

Contemporary and Impressionist artists influence me... like: Van Gogh, Picasso, etc. Also my studio and art history college background. Plus my mother Ilse Sternau Gray was an artist and art teacher.

5. If you could meet anyone dead or alive who would it be?

I would like to go back in time in Paris in the 1940’s and hang out with the literary and artistic creative ‘giants’ of the Twentieth Century.
